The Stem Cell Center congratulates Group Leader Gareth Sullivan and Ragnhild Eskeland for being granted Center of Excellence (SFF) status.

The Research Council of Norway has initiated a Centres of Excellence (SFF) scheme with the intention to establish time-limited research centres characterised by focused, long-term research efforts of a high international calibre, and where researcher training is an important aspect. High scientific quality is the main criterion for the selection of the centres.

The SFF programme gives Norway’s best scientists the opportunity to organize their research in centres in order to reach ambitious scientific goals. The research should be innovative and have major potential to generate ground-breaking results that advance the international research frontier.
